The project, implemented in partnership with Ikirenga Art and Culture Promotion aims to promote and protect artistic freedom in Rwanda by creating a platform for artists to express themselves freely. It includes research and advocacy to raise awareness about the importance of artistic freedom and to influence policymakers to create a more enabling environment for artists; capacity building for artists, providing them with training on legal frameworks for artistic expression, digital security, and self-care; and a public exhibition of artworks created by the participating artists, providing an opportunity for the local community to engage with the artists' unique creative expressions.
