In Geneva, alongside the 54th session of the UN Human Rights Council, the International Day to Protect Education from Attack will be commemorated at the Palais des Nations on 11 September. The event will address how to prevent or mitigate the devastating impact of attacks on education through concrete actions, such as endorsing and implementing the – an international political commitment to protect education in conflict situations.
