Consultation on the 2023 GEM Report convened by The Open University UK
This closed consultation event on the 2023 GEM Report convened by The Open University will focus on key challenges in education to which the appropriate use of high technology and low technology can offer solutions, while recognizing that other applications of technology may also be detrimental. It will focus on issues of privacy, governance and system management looking into the ways in which technology has expanded opportunities for connection and access to information while also posing risks to safety, privacy, equality, and social cohesion.
During the consultation, academics working on technology and education will be invited to share evidence, research and examples of best practices that may inform the development of the 2023 GEM Report.
A panel discussion will be facilitated by featuring:

A short output report summarizing the key contributions that may inform the development of the 2023 GEM Report will be published after the event.
