Presentation
The Creative Industry Innovation Center (CIIC) presents a project designed to advance gender awareness, human rights and creativity to address social inequality within Mongolia’s cultural sector. The project centres around:
- Social equality promotion: Empower women artists and craftswomen through entrepreneurship and digital skills training to create sustainable income opportunities.
- National consultation: Organize a consultation involving stakeholders from various domains to build a comprehensive network of cultural and creative industry professionals.
- Online platform: Create a social platform to showcase products and services by women artists and craftswomen, enhancing visibility, sales and international cooperation for accessing global markets.
How does this project contribute to the implementation of the 2005 Convention?
- Foster structural change: The project promotes sustainable governance in the cultural sector, supporting the diversity of cultural expressions in Mongolia.
- Drive innovation: It introduces new business models and technologies to enhance the creation, production, distribution and accessibility of diverse cultural goods and services.
- Support entrepreneurship: Through the specialized ‘Entrepreneurship for the Creative and Cultural Industries’ program, the project empowers women artists, craftswomen and individuals with disabilities. The beneficiaries receive professional guidance in business model development, product design, and online marketing strategies.
- Encourage international mobility: It facilitates balanced cultural exchange and increases the mobility of artists and cultural professionals from the global South.
