The eighteenth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage will take place in Kasane Republic of Botswana from Monday 4 to Saturday 9 December 2023
Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse
The PSEA Policy reflects UNESCOs zero tolerance towards SEA and defines the principles and mechanisms by which UNESCO employees will be held accountable to uphold the Organizations commitment to protect and uphold the dignity of vulnerable people The policy is fully aligned with the Organizations core values and international commitments to prevent and address instances of sexual exploitation and abuse It includes standard operating procedures for submission and receipt of complaints reporting investigation and victim assistance

UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage: The 18th session of the Intergovernmental Committee
The Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee will hold its 18th session from 4 to 9 December in Kasane Botswana The Committee will examine the nominations for inscription of 55 cultural practices submitted by 72 State Parties The event will also mark the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention which has considerably strengthened the worlds legal arsenal for the protection of culture
