Tuamanaia Foimapafisi joined the GEM Report team in 2024 as an Associate Project Officer, contributing to the Spotlight series. Prior to this role, she worked for nearly six years as an international consultant with UNESCO¡¯s International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP-UNESCO) in its Paris and Dakar offices. During this time, she contributed to numerous research initiatives, including programs with the Gender at the Centre Initiative (GCI) to promote gender equality in and through education.

She holds a master¡¯s degree in public policy and economics from Sciences Po Paris and a bachelor¡¯s degree in economics from the University of New Caledonia.
