Educators and practitioners in various fields have been looking for a comprehensive approach to advancing SDG 4, Target 4.7 and 21st-century education goals. This is where the new Framework for Active Global Citizenship comes in. Focused on fostering the abilities needed for navigating a globally interconnected society and contributing purposefully to the relevant issues of our time, the AFS Framework provides applicable principles, concepts and definitions for advancing global citizenship education. Through a combination of expert-led presentations and interactive discussions, participants will gain insights on how to leverage the AFS Framework to develop active global citizens in their local contexts.
