Launch of the Spotlight on South Africa country report
A national launch event at the 2024 Lekgotla hosted by the Department of Basic Education will spotlight critical findings from the South Africa study and discuss the Report鈥檚 recommendations with critical education actors to shift the needle on foundational learning across the country.
Designed to be a springboard for critical reflection and peer learning for government and partners working to improve foundational literacy and numeracy across South Africa the launch event will bring together curriculum and assessment experts, teachers and representatives from organizations whose expertise and experiences helped inform the report to share insights and fresh perspectives to advance the report鈥檚 recommendations with policy makers and practitioners.
