Launch of the second report on G7 Global Objectives on Girls' Education
A virtual roundtable discussion between UNESCO, UNGEI, the Girls’ Education Challenge and the University of Cambridge is taking place on 15 February 2024 to launch the second Progress Report on the G7 Global Objectives on Girls’ Education.
The report measures progress made against two objectives on girls’ access to education and their learning. This event will unpack the findings in the 2023 report and shed light on the urgent action that is needed to achieve the Global Objectives on Girls’ Education. The report, which highlights the challenges to achieving gender equality in and through education as well as pertinent data gaps, underscores the scale of the task ahead. Explore global data trends, discuss the root causes of gender inequality that are hindering progress, and learn from best practices to advance gender equality in education.
