The Democratic Republic of the Congo national launch event: Spotlight on basic education completion and foundational learning

UNESCO Kinshasa, the GEM Report, ADEA and partners will launch the country report on basic edcation and foundational learning for the Democratic Republic of the Congo developed by the University of Kisangani and produced in partnership with the Ministère de l’enseignement primaire, secondaire et technique (MEPST, Ministry of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education). The Report shows that fee-free basic education has resulted in progress in school attendance in the country , but basic outcomes remain low with multiple challenges persisting.
The event will bring together key stakeholders and representatives from organizations whose research helped informed the report to share insights and new perspectives as they advocate for the prioritisation of foundational learning with policy makers and practitioners.
