2024/5 GEM Report consultation with the International Education Funders Group
The 2024/5 GEM Report published by UNESCO will examine the requirements of good leadership in education and how they vary between countries and over time. It will look at the visions and goals that are driving strong leadership, and will examine the extent and through what practices it contributes to better education outcomes and a positive learning environment.
The Report will also examine the role of non-state actors including philanthropic foundations in providing leadership support and development opportunities for fostering leadership in certain contexts. A 60 minute dialogue with the GEM Team will provide an open forum for IEFG colleagues to share examples of initiatives, research and collaboration with key stakeholders aimed to create youth and adult leaders who strengthen communities and education systems to inform the writing of the 2024/5 GEM Report.
