2024/5 GEM Report consultation with German National Commission to UNESCO
The Expert Committee on Education of the German National Commission for UNESCO and the GEM Report will host a consultation to inform the next GEM Report on leadership in education. An interactive discussion will gather insights into the German national context and experiences/examples from the participants.
The objectives of the consultation include:
- A presentation of the outline and structure of the 2024/5 GEM Report on leadership in education
- Provide a space for participants to share experience/identify examples/case studies that illustrate good leadership, of solutions that could inform the Report
Format
The session will take place in two parts. The first segment will hear a presentation of the Concept Note for the 2024/5 GEM Leadership Report followed by brief observations on the framework presented, and a discussion of opportunities to engage in the Report鈥檚 outreach and dissemination.
A second segment will hear from participants examining a set of questions focused on leadership within education institutions, leadership at the education system level and leadership outside the education system. The interaction will allow participants to share observations and experiences from their unique perspectives/engagements on supporting or exercising leadership in education.
