The Education Finance Watch (EFW) is a collaborative effort between the World Bank (WB), the Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report, and the UNESCO Institute of Statistics (UIS).  The EFW aims to provide an annual analysis of trends, patterns, and issues in education financing around the world. The paper shows the extent to which the Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated the global learning crisis It sheds light on the impact of Covid-19 on global education financing in 2020, 2021 and 2022 with substantially more data, and conducts a more granular analysis, benchmarking with other sectors, using the latest data available as of May 2022.
