  • HLSC Leaders Group Meeting (Paris, 8 November 2023)

    The annual HLSC Leaders Meeting took place on the 8th of November 2023 in Paris during the UNESCO General Conference.  

    The Leaders convened to:

    • Report on progress on SDG4 and TES commitments;
    • Agree on next steps of the various strands of the financing work; 
    • Conclude the work of the outgoing members of the HLSC; and
    • Announce the new membership for 2024-25.

  • HLSC Sherpa Group Meeting (Online, 4 October 2023)

    The Sherpas last met in person on 31 May and 1 June 2023 in Paris to take stock of the advancement of the HLSC decisions on the TES follow up and to discuss the way forward for the implementation of its flagship activities, to exchange on the work of its Functional Area (FA) Technical Committees, on the strengthening of regional SDG4 coordination mechanisms, and to prepare the positioning of education at UNGA and related summits, among other things.

    The Sherpas convened to:

    • Provide an update on progress made since the June meeting, including the recent launch of the Dashboard of Country Commitments and Actions at the , and other related-activities;

    • Discuss progress on the financing work; and

    • Prepare the annual HLSC Leaders meeting to be held in November.
