The SDG4 Knowledge Hub aims:
- to support the sharing of knowledge, data and actions to improve evidence-based education reforms across the world,
- to promote cross-country learning and effective action to combat the global learning crisis,
- to demonstrate a commitment to working towards the Education 2030 Agenda.
Designed as a one-stop shop combining SDG4 data, research assets, policy documents and good practices into a single online platform, the SDG4 Knowledge Hub is aligned with the mandate of the SDG4 High-Level Steering Committee to improve data and evidence for education and is managed by its Inter-Agency Secretariat hosted by UNESCO.
Objectives of the Knowledge Hub
The Knowledge Hub provides a single centralized platform for global education data, research and good practices.
By leveraging existing platforms which provide SDG4 data and providing an accessible user interface, it fosters knowledge-sharing and community-building.
It provides national-level data, including country profiles that highlight commitments, periodic reporting and new policies, and makes education data accessible to the broader public.
It promotes coordination within the global education community and cross-fertilization with other sectors by disseminating examples of successful SDG4-related innovations, policies and practices.
The platform offers national, regional and global stakeholders easy access to curated content to inform decision-making and support advocacy efforts for education globally.
