The analysis highlights how regional studies, by focusing on countries with similar linguistic, cultural, and economic development backgrounds, offer more relevant and accurate information tailored to the realities of the participating educational systems.
Key Findings:
- Increased Informative Capacity:
Regional studies like ERCE provide a better measurement that is tailored to specific educational realities, facing fewer challenges than large-scale international studies. - Advantages in Diversity Management:
The challenges of economic, cultural, and linguistic diversity are better addressed by studies focused on regions with common characteristics.
Discussion Points for the Webinar:
- The presentation will highlight the mismatch problem that large-scale educational studies face in countries with relatively low or high skill levels.
- Regional studies represent an approach to address this issue due to the greater homogeneity they possess regarding the range of skills.
- It will be demonstrated that the ERCE study is a good example of a study well-suited to the requirements of the participating countries.
