Benefits and Access for Registered Media/Press

Upon arrival, the media and press can pick up their badges, press kits, and other meeting materials at the registration desk located at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park.

The registered media/press will be granted access to the opening ceremony. While the press is permitted to schedule interviews with presenters and panelists from plenary and parallel sessions, it's essential to note that direct access to these plenary and parallel sessions is restricted for the media/press.

The hotel provides WIFI and charging facilities, offering a conducive environment for you and your team to create feature articles and conduct audio or video interviews throughout the conference.

Photography, audio and video recording

The media and press can photograph, audio and video record the opening session, but only with prior clearance from the APMED 6 Secretariat.

Capturing photos, audio or videos during plenary and parallel sessions is explicitly not allowed for the media and press.

During the conference, exhibitions will be displayed at the main ballroom, Sala Thai of Bangkok Marriott Marquis Hotel. It is important to ask and secure permission from the exhibitors at the booths you intend to capture.

Interviews

Within the registration form for media/press, we require you to submit a list of prospective interviewees and the associated questions you intend to ask. The APMED 6 Secretariat will approve these interview slots and confirm them via email starting on 19 August 2024.

The conference organisers will not allocate a dedicated room for interviews. Instead, media representatives are advised to scout suitable locations within the hotel premises. We suggest using the conference photo wall as an interview backdrop or other pre-function areas with available sofas for editorial news coverage interviews.

Should your team or organisation be interested in an exclusive interview set-up, we invite you to pitch your proposal to the APMED 6 Secretariat. We'll make efforts to facilitate a suitable space, but it will be based on availability and prioritised by the relevance and timing of the request.

Further, the conference secretariat space is also available for interviews as long as you respect and adhere to the photography, audio and video recording guidelines.

Information gathered in advance from any presenter is embargoed until the planned presentation date and time at the conference, and will only be released during or right after the session.

Similarly, data from the sessions are under embargo until formally launched or presented during the meeting. When including data, please check with the presenter on where the information can be found.

Every media organisation, partner, institution issuing press releases and other relevant parties must strictly comply with this embargo policy.
