​​​UNESCO x SEVENTEEN’s “Going Together – For Youth Creativity and Well-Being” Grant Scheme

“Going Together – For Youth Creativity and Well-Being”, the Global Youth Grant Scheme with UNESCO and K-pop group SEVENTEEN, will fund 100 youth-led action projects worldwide.

Launch of the joint grant scheme

On 26 June 2024, the day of SEVENTEEN’s nomination as the first-ever UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Youth, the group and UNESCO’s Director-General announced the launch of the joint grant scheme to support youth projects across all regions. 

SEVENTEEN will contribute $1 million to fund this initiative.

Call for applications

The project will be initiated with a worldwide call for applications. Subject to the availability of funds, support will be provided for youth-led projects that address challenges affecting the well-being and development of young people and their communities, within three thematic areas:  

  • Promoting youth confidence and resilience through music, arts, and sports  

  • Building creative communities together with youth  

  • Supporting youth mental health and well-being 

The Grant Scheme will support project leaders aged from 18 to 30 years old, from different backgrounds and regions.

Investing in youth potential

Grants

100 grants between 5,000 and 10,000 USD each will be awarded to young leaders, entrepreneurs and youth organizations to help them create and implement changemaking solutions for social impact.

Capacity strengthening

Grantees will also benefit from training sessions and mentoring throughout the development of their projects.

The partnership with SEVENTEEN builds on the , as the first-ever UNESCO Goodwill Ambassadors for Youth. In November 2023, the group participated in the13th UNESCO 91鶹Ʒ, delivering  and doing its very first  at UNESCO’s Headquarters in Paris.      

SEVENTEEN’s engagement with UNESCO is a continuation of their consistent effort and longstanding passion to contribute to youth worldwide.
