The World Water Development Report is changing!
The 100-page annual reports will be accompanied by a synthesis report published every five years. The new model, which replaces the triennial WWDRs that have been produced since the inception of the United Nations World Water Assessment Programme, aims to make the WWDR better able to meet the needs of its audience. The decision to revise the model and determination of what it would be was made this year following the findings of an extensive stakeholder survey carried out by the Advisory Group on UN-Water Publications. From 2014, the United Nations World Water Development Report (WWDR) becomes an annual report, with a thematic focus and a standardized structure, and including data and case study annexes.
