Cultural mobility is crucial for artists as it fosters cultural exchange, broadens creative horizons, and promotes access to new markets. Supporting the movement of artists and culture professionals, enhances the flow of cultural goods and services, which contributes to more diverse and resilient societies.
The UNESCO programme Transcultura: Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity, funded by the European Union, compiles open opportunities1 in the cultural and creative industries of the Caribbean and Europe. It is designed to connect young talents with innovators and foster global collaborations.

The Culttech Accelerator delivers a high-quality programme for CultTech startups that is focused on their specific (fundraising) needs and that increases their chances of successfully scaling their businesses. They create a global CultTech ecosystem that unites startups, investors and relevant stakeholders including major cultural players. The programme is not only covered by industry experts, but you additionally receive individual mentoring and coaching, and within the community we advise you to make use of the peer-to-peer advice. Each year, the five-week programme allows dancers and young choreographers from around forty countries to take part in all workshops and research projects, and to watch all ImPulsTanz performances. The festival鈥檚 international orientation provides an ideal platform for up-and-coming artists and enables the sharing of ideas with teachers and choreographers to establish a network. In addition, the participants are mentored by internationally renowned artists from the dance and performance scene. 鈥楢TLAS 鈥 create your dance trails鈥 is a modular training programme in the scope of ImPulsTanz 鈥 Vienna International Dance Festival. It offers both artists with first choreographic experience and artists in the middle of their career, including from other disciplines, a dynamic environment for their artistic development. We want to support courageous circus projects that follow open creative processes and find compelling points of intersection with other strands of the performing arts. We encourage applications from artists and groups that aim to shed light on social, political and ecological issues. In this way, we hope to strengthen the thematic diversity of new circus projects. As a cultural organization, the Cham盲leon aims to enable fairer access to the art form, and we therefore particularly encourage artists who have experienced discrimination to apply. The CrossCulture Programme (CCP) funds 55 to 60 professionals and dedicated volunteers from over 40 countries with its CCP Fellowships. Fellows spend two to three months working with host organizations in Germany or CCP partner countries to broaden their expertise, build valuable networks and further develop their intercultural skills. In return, the host organizations benefit from the expertise, regional knowledge and networks of the CCP Fellows. The CCP Fellowships for 2025 will be offered as on-site Fellowships. Depending on individual circumstances and applicable travel regulations, Fellows may also opt for digital participation. The programme is subject to funding by the German Federal Foreign Office. This opportunity is available exclusively to applicants from Cuba, within the framework of the Transcultura Programme.

For the twentieth Call for Web Residencies, Akademie Schloss Solitude is collaborating with Mindy Seu and Charles Broskoski to curate an open call on knowledge sharing and citation in the (post)digital age. The residency 禄Tools for Citation芦 examines how knowledge is produced and how those processes can be reimagined through expanded citational practices. Artists are invited to delve into associative trails, transdisciplinary thinking, and collaborative processes in and between analogue and digital networks and worlds to explore the practices of citation.

The programme is centred around weekly individual studio conversations, with regular and guest tutors, most of whom are practising artists. Since 2002, the MuseumsQuartier's international Artist-in-Residence programme, in cooperation with partners, has annually provided around 60 international artists with the opportunity to live and work in the MuseumsQuartier. This residency allows artists to further develop their artistic projects while immersing themselves in the local art and cultural scene. The objective of the Artist-in-Residence programme is to continually invigorate the art and cultural scene in the Austrian capital by introducing fresh, external influences and fostering exchange through the participation of international artists.

The Art centre offers residencies for foreign artists who would like to stay and work at the Art centre or Artists鈥 Asylum. During their residency, artists are given the opportunity to engage with the social network of Art centre and local community, research and produce artworks, present their work and build networks with the Slovene arts community. The duration of residencies is not limited and is determined on a project-by-project basis, with ongoing conversations throughout a residency. Residencies to date have lasted from few days up to a year.

ProPiano Caribe is a regional piano competition with the aim of promoting the talent and creativity of young people with a passion for the piano and promising careers, organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the Dominican Republic, in collaboration with Fundaci贸n Sinfon铆a and the Transcultura Programme. The jury will select three finalists through virtual auditions, who will be invited to travel to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, for the final round before a jury of international experts, as well as for the closing concert on 17 and 18 March 2025.

Westway LAB is Portugal鈥檚 showcase festival, international music conference, and artist residency annual event. Each year, this event invites artists to showcase their music projects as part of the city showcases and/or also invites artists to participate in the co-creation residencies at the Candoso Creation Centre, a converted school that provides a week-long live-and-work environment, just outside the city of Guimar茫es. Four working groups of three artists (with at least one person in each group being Portuguese) work together the week before the festival to create new side projects together.

The International Film and Environment Festival of the Caribbean was created as a creative space to enhance the common actions of the region in environmental matters and to contribute a critical perspective on the serious environmental challenges that the Caribbean faces today. Isla de la Juventud is the natural space for this festival, which is part of the environmental program Isla Verde. The film festival is a celebration that provides visibility and strength to a more ambitious project, aiming to lead and support a transformation towards sustainable development in the territory. This transformation could serve as a precedent for a successful and replicable ecological model in other communities of the diverse island states of the Caribbean and the world.

Rotterdam Photo, part of Rotterdam Art Week, calls for submissions of one series of five images from professional and amateur photographers under a different theme every year. Rotterdam Photo Festival is open to different media, such as photography, installations, performance, digital art, and documentary works. The selected images are printed on PVC panels and exhibited on the outside of a designated container during the Rotterdam Photo Festival. All production costs are covered by the Rotterdam Photo. Approximately twenty-five photographers are selected, and they can participate individually or on behalf of a gallery.

The IDFA Bertha Fund supports independent, critical, and artistic voices from all over the world with the aim of stimulating and empowering the creative documentary sector. The Fund provides development and production grants. Additionally, filmmakers are invited to participate in the different industry events that IDFA has to offer and broaden their international network and knowledge of the documentary industry. Brouillon d鈥檜n r锚ve must be the very first aid obtained, whether for the Research or Writing phase.

The Brouillon d鈥檜n r锚ve impact grant is awarded directly to creators of online videos. It is a financial aid designed to support projects for videos, channels, or web-series documentaries on the internet, including chronicles, investigations, popular science, interviews, vlogs, testimonials, etc. These projects must aim to understand, question, and decipher societal, cultural, economic, environmental, historical, and human rights issues. Particular attention will be given to the creativity and quality of the proposals.

The project chosen will be carried out in two stages: 1/Research; 2/Production (after approval, if the project is included in the Rencontres d鈥橝rles programme). The maximum 鈧20,000 grant includes: 1/An initial amount of 鈧5,000 in copyright acquired for the winner; 2/ A second amount of 鈧15,000 for producing the project; in case of approval by Les Rencontres d鈥橝rles.

The Foundation of Lower Saxony grant at the Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art supports a wide spectrum of media art, from video art and net-based projects to audio works and audio-visual installations. Each of the three grants is awarded to produce a new project in media art. The grant is valid for a duration of six months (July鈥揇ecember). It cannot be prolonged, and residency is compulsory; grant recipients can expect to stay in Oldenburg for at least one month.
