atingi and UNESCO Transcultura: enabling skills development in the tourism industry in Latin America and the Caribbean
The atingi , in collaboration with the UNESCO programme Transcultura: Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity, funded by the European Union, is excited to announce the expansion of its course offerings with the launch of the Spanish version of 31 courses on the . This initiative aims to meet the growing demand for quality online education in Latin America and the Caribbean, while furthering atingi’s mission to provide free access to relevant digital learning opportunities across the globe. This aligns with the UNESCO Transcultura mission of improving capacity building and professional opportunities for young culture and creative professionals through tourism in the Caribbean.
The addition of the Spanish version of courses to the eAcademy's portfolio comes following closely the success of its existing English and French courses. With a diverse range of offerings covering essential topics in tourism and hospitality, the eAcademy has established itself as a provider of online education for anyone who would like to start a career in the industry, especially individuals who have less access to dedicated training opportunities.
Targeted at industry staff and management, including young adults attending TVET schools and universities, learners can choose their path to enhance their professional skills and gain a digital certificate, which they can share with employers as proof of their achievement.
With the funding collaboration of the European Union through the UNESCO Transcultura programme and with the support of the Business Scouts for Development of the Agency for Business and Economic Development, a total of 31 courses of the eAcademy portfolio could now be translated to provide free training opportunities to Spanish speaking learners.
We are thrilled to partner with UNESCO Transcultura to make even more of our courses accessible to Spanish-speaking learners. By offering the Spanish-language courses on atingi, we can now reach individuals across Latin America and the Caribbean, providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the tourism and hospitality sector.
