First Regional Meeting of Science-related UNESCO Centres and Chairs for South-East Europe and the Mediterranean
The meeting will seek to bring their in-depth expertise and knowledge to confront the most pressing science-related and environmental issues for the region.
It will bring together chair holders and centre directors from 9 different countries to strengthen the UNESCO science networks in the region.
During the meeting, participants will have the occasion to discuss with other experts from their action area, to reflect on intersectorial and interdisciplinary approaches for Chairs and Centres, and to discuss together how to tackle challenges at a national, regional and international level.
All the recommendations of the Science-related UNESCO Chairs and Centres of South-East Europe and the Mediterranean will be summarised in a Declaration at the end of the meeting.
