As part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Coup in Chile, the Museum of Memory and Human Rights, the National Institute of Human Rights, and the Regional Bureau for Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (OREALC/UNESCO Santiago), in 2023, launched an open call “How is the Coup and Dictatorship Taught in Schools?" with the purpose of gathering a variety of experiences that could be shared at national level.

To promote discussion and reflection on this topic, we invite you to a virtual discussion with relevant figures working in the field of human rights and historical memory, to exchange experiences and challenges of teaching about this historical event at educational communities."
