今日在纽约举行的联合国生物多样性峰会上各国领导人重点讨论了如何解决生物多样性危机的根源问题教科文组织总干事阿祖莱在领导人对话中就解决生物多样性丧失问题和将生物多样性列入可持续发展的核心发表了意见并提出了重建人与自然关系的解决方案 当前的疫情撼动了我们生活的方方面面也揭示了全球的互联性以及我们与生物界高度相互依存的关系科学家已经证明由于对生物多样性和生态系统管理不善传染病从野生动物传染给人类的风险已有所上升从而也增加了大流行病的可能性我们现在必须考虑这种互联关系并在我们的生活方式和社会中反映这种联系 生物多样性之所以遭到破坏首先是因为我们与自然与生物界其他物种的关系产生了脱节地球上生态系统被破坏的情况中有75由我们的日常活动造成而我们与自然的关系也同时恶化 然而教科文组织在世界各地的指定场地向我们表明我们是可以与自然和谐相处的

联合国教科文组织新批准了对11个生物圈保护区的认定这些保护区分布在11个国家其中比利时和冈比亚为首次入选另有2个保护区为跨界生物圈保护区其他新认定的生物圈保护区位于哥伦比亚多米尼加意大利蒙古荷兰菲律宾韩国斯洛文尼亚西班牙新认定的生物圈保护区总面积达374万平方公里相当于荷兰的面积世界生物圈保护区网络现共拥有分布在136个国家的759个保护区
