As Artificial Intelligence (AI) rapidly evolves and becomes increasingly embedded in various sectors globally, it is crucial that gender equality is not left behind. AI development and governance must intentionally prioritize gender inclusivity to ensure that AI systems and policies serve the interests of all people, free from gender bias and discrimination. The absence of gender perspectives in AI policies risks reinforcing existing inequalities and creating new, systemic barriers for women and marginalized groups in the AI ecosystem.
