UNESCO launches the #Unite4Heritage campaign in Libya

On Thursday May 21, 2015, theWorld Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is pleased to support the launch of the #Unite4Heritage campaign in Libya.
Through this campaign, which is part of a global effort to promote the importance of cultural heritage as an important tool for dialogue and peace, the Organization encourages all Libyans, and especially youth, to start a discussion about how they see the role and the value of Libyan culture and heritage in their own lives and in their communities and society – and tell the world about it!
This can be through posting photos or videos on social media, organizing events or anything else that people believe is worth doing or saying to promote the rich cultural heritage of Libya. UNESCO invites all Libyans concerned about their heritage to participate in the launch on 21 May by posting on their website and social media pages (Facebook and Twitter) using the hashtag #Unite4Heritage and متØدون³åمع³åالتراث#
Finally we also invite you to look at the to have a better idea of what this campaign is about. UNESCO is committed to working with Libyan youth to take this campaign further into the schools and public places across the country in the weeks and months ahead.
