Open call for the second round of the UNESCO Transcultura course on writing grant applications

The UNESCO Programme Transcultura: Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity, funded by the European Union, has launched the call for the second round of the online course FondosCultura: Writing Grant Proposals to Unblock Cultural Funding.
The four-week course, taught in English and Spanish, is aimed at young artists and practitioners with innovative projects in the field of cultural and creative industries from the 17 beneficiary countries of the Transcultura Programme. Specifically, participants will learn to:
- Understand, identify and research cultural funding opportunities
- Prepare effective plans and budgets for cultural projects
- Create narratives and communication tools and schemes for persuasive writing
- Manage successful grants and relationships with funders
This is the second round of a course whose first edition has already trained 50 creatives and entrepreneurs from 14 Caribbean countries.

The Transcultura Programme: Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity aims to harness diversity to build bridges between people and cultures from different linguistic areas. The programme is built on strengthening the skills and capacities of young cultural professionals and enhancing opportunities through knowledge transfer and exchanges.
