GRAB-Gansu Revitalization Acceleration Lab Call for participation

Are you passionate about culture and creativity and wish to promote Gansu local culture and products?

Do you have an innovative idea or business that can support local communities’ livelihood, sustainable tourism or social development?

Do you need support to turn your idea to real opportunities?

If yes, join us and be the “Star Grabber”!

Within the framework of the World Bank-financed Gansu Revitalization and Innovation Project (GRIP), in partnership with Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, UNESCO Beijing Office is initiating the GRAB-Gansu Revitalization Acceleration Lab with the aim to provide incubation support to young entrepreneurs and creative individuals from Gansu province, to harness innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital technologies to contribute to the local sustainable development through the power of culture and creativity.

Who are we looking for?

Under 35 years of age
Living in Gansu province
Passionate about culture and creativity and committed to culture innovation
Have an innovative idea or run an existing business that builds upon cultural assets and resources for livelihood improvement, sustainable tourism or social development
Eager to start your own startup or further develop your business

How does the “Creative Gansu” Youth Incubator work?

Up to 30 ideas will be invited to join the GRAB
Individuals will have opportunities to meet and form teams with others
The Star Grabbers will benefit from capacity building, mentoring, networking, marketing and promotion support during the 12-month period (tentatively starting in September 2023)
Upon graduation from the GRAB, Star Grabbers are expected to kick start their business ideas or strengthen their existing businesses.
