The Chilean Ministry of Education and UNESCO present outcomes of the Pedagogical and Curricular Congress at a national seminar on the topic
This participatory process was carried out between August and September 2023, promoted by the Chilean Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) in cooperation with the UNESCO Multisectoral Regional Office in Santiago and its Latin American Laboratory for the Assessment of the Quality of Education (LLECE), which provided technical advice.
This initiative gathered various members of educational communities, representatives of civil society, and individual participants from across the country to discuss and identify the main challenges facing the Chilean educational system. The process saw the participation of more than 800,000 people nationwide, who contributed suggestions, visions, and relevant propositions that helped to build recommendations for policy development. It is the largest national educational consultation initiative driven by the State in the last 8 years.
