Main objectives of the Forum
- Enhance youth participation in the activities and management of the IberoMAB Network biosphere reserves to promote youth impact in their territories.
- Provide resources for youth empowerment in local, regional and global level.
- Establish a governance system and an action plan for the IberoMAB regional youth network.
- Build on the 2nd Youth Panel's outcomes from the 2nd IberoMAB Congress, and set challenges and objectives for the IberoMAB Youth Network from 2026 to 2035 to be aligned with the new MAB Strategy (2025-2035).
Organizers
The Forum is organized by the UNESCO MAB Programme's Secretariat, in coordination with the UNESCO Office in Brasilia, the Brazilian MAB National Committee, the Atlantic Forest Biosphere Reserve, and the IberoMAB and Brazil Youth Networks.
The Forum is supported financially by the Ministry of the Environment of Brazil, the State Secretariat for the Environment of the State of Bahia and the National Parks Autonomous Agency (OAPN) of Spain.
