Support the protection of underwater cultural heritage
The UNESCO Underwater Cultural Heritage Fund aims to support countries in their efforts to protect and better manage underwater cultural heritage. The resources provided to the Fund will be used to finance various activities, including training workshops in underwater cultural heritage protection and research, scientific and technical missions, public awareness raising, and the promotion of the Convention. This Fund is also directed to enable representatives from developing countries to participate in the sessions of the Meeting of States Parties of the 2001 Convention.
The Fund is financed by voluntary contributions.
