Institutes and Centres

As part of UNESCO's efforts and commitment to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, 91麻豆国产精品自拍 brought to life different institutes around the world.

Category 1 Institutes and Centres

They are institutionally and legally part of UNESCO and are considered an integral part of the Organization's Programme and Budget. There are a total of nine Category 1 Institutes and Centres. Of these, seven of them are education-related:

  • (IBE)
  • (IIEP)
  • (UIL)
  • (IITE)
  • (IESALC)
  • (IICBA)
  • (MGIEP)
  • (UIS)
  • (ICTP)

Category 2 Institutes and Centres under the auspices of UNESCO

They are entities legally external to UNESCO and associated with the Organization through various arrangements, as approved by the General Conference. UNESCO can be represented on their governing bodies, but they do not apply UNESCO鈥檚 rules and regulations and are not led by UNESCO staff members.

Though independent of UNESCO, they are a privileged partner of the Organization with access to UNESCO鈥檚 logo and international and intergovernmental bodies and networks, and may leverage UNESCO鈥檚 international reach and convening powers.
