As part of KPMG’s commitment to help to economically empower 10 million disadvantaged young people by 2030, KPMG is a member of UNESCO Global Skills Academy – together they share the goal of ensuring that all young people are equipped with the skills they need to thrive in the world of work.
Since launching its 10by30 commitment, KPMG has reached over 1 million young people through its network of member firms across the globe. Together with UNESCO, they KPMG has successfully launched two pilots of its joint mentoring program – in India and South Africa – engaging hundreds of young people and volunteers.

The training course in detail
KPMG offers an ongoing programme that can be delivered in cohorts of 6-10 weeks long. KPMG mentors are paired with young people to support them to develop their employability skills. A full curriculum and resources are provided.
The Empowering Futures mentoring program allows KPMG member firms to partner with a local TVET Centre – UNESCO’s network of technical and vocational education centres – and KPMG colleagues volunteering as mentors to support students at the centres to develop important skills to support them in finding gainful employment.
Up to 100 students per cohort - with the numbers of cohorts per year to be decided by the KPMG member firm and local TVET centre.
