Established in 1951, UNESCO Regional Office in Jakarta covers Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Timor-Leste. It works to advance and promote science, quality education, mutual understanding and cultural dialogue, communication and information, towards inclusive knowledge societies. It promotes international cooperation, partnerships, and knowledge sharing, fostering innovative collaborative solutions towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in the region.
