X International youth forum "Green bridge through generations"
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University successfully held the X Anniversary International 91麻豆国产精品自拍 鈥淕reen Bridge through Generations鈥, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the University and the 10th anniversary of acquiring the status of the Global Hub of the UN Academic Impact (UNAI) program for sustainable development .
The idea of 鈥嬧媔ts organization dates back to 2012, with the Millennium Summit in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is the only University in the CIS countries that received the right to host a separate section at the Summit. The UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development was honored to be among the organizers of this section, where issues of the Global Energy and Environmental Strategy for Sustainable Development in the 21st Century and the dominant role of education, science, and the transfer of knowledge to future generations through the construction of the 鈥淕reen Bridge鈥 were discussed.
Over the course of its existence, the 鈥淕reen Bridge Through Generations鈥 Forum has become a real international dialogue platform where young scientists and students discuss current trends in the promotion of 鈥済reen鈥 initiatives, and the results of research in earth and environmental sciences. The current theme of the Event is consistent with the Sustainable Development Strategy.
The geography of participants, the depth of the affected aspects of 鈥済reen growth鈥 and the researched 鈥済reen鈥 technologies, environmental and socio-economic solutions embodied in youth projects, are expanding every year.
This Forum was held in a hybrid format and brought together about 300 participants, including over 40 foreign scientists and representatives of international organizations, more than 200 students, undergraduates and young scientists from different countries and regions of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and other countries.
At the opening ceremony of the forum, participants and guests were welcomed by a member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Professor Altai Kazmagambetov.
Speakers at the Forum were: Representative of the UN Department of Global Communications in Almaty Vlastimil Samek, Expert of the Public Chamber of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, climate summit participant Aizhan Skakova, President of the XCSS-CROSS COUNTRY SKIING SAND company Estelle Payne (France), Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Center for State Scientific and Technical Sciences examination Rustem Manatbaev, and a delegation from the Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagyn and the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaeva. Partner of the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development Javier Rodrigo Illari, professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), congratulated his colleagues in an online broadcast.
In addition to discussing scientific reports, as part of the Forum, participants held a cleanup day and planted a Sievers apple tree on the territory of the University campus.
The Forum Proceedings will be posted on the online information and communication platform 鈥淕reen Bridge Through Generations鈥 to develop joint interdisciplinary innovative projects that contribute to the realization of the scientific potential of the youth.
