In 2023, World Teachers' Day celebrations will focus on the theme "The teachers we need for the education we want: The global imperative to reverse the teacher shortage".
Following the official inauguration of World Teachers Day, the second day - October 6 - will consist of two online sessions that will address the challenges faced by teachers in emergency contexts, and spotlight innovative methods to attract, retain, and motivate educators. Additionally, they will explore and present examples of how education systems, societies, communities, and families can acknowledge, value, and actively support teachers.
