Arabic, spoken by over 450 million people and holding official status in nearly 25 countries, is a global language with immense cultural significance. Yet, only 3% of online content is available in Arabic, restricting access for millions. This event gathers top scholars, industry experts, and cultural leaders to explore how AI can bridge this digital gap, enhancing Arabic representation online and fostering both innovation and heritage preservation. This year the event starts with opening remarks from distinguished speakers, leading into sessions on Arabic AI innovation, cultural and linguistic preservation, and digital empowerment. The day concludes with a captivating light calligraphy show. 

UNESCO’s World Arabic Language Day creates a vibrant platform for dialogue, exchange, and mutual understanding, celebrating the Arabic language’s global significance. We bring together diverse voices and foster cultural connections, organized in close collaboration with the Permanent Delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to UNESCO and with the generous support of the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation. 

The Programme is supported by the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation and drives initiatives that promote cultural exchange and regional diversity. By collaborating with leading experts and diverse partners, it expands Arabic’s influence in academia and science, creating pathways for knowledge in Arabic.
