UNESCO LAUNCHES INTERACTIVE VIDEO SERIES DEDICATED TO THE 1954 HAGUE CONVENTION AND ITS TWO (1954 AND 1999) PROTOCOLS

INTERACTIVE VIDEO SERIES

91麻豆国产精品自拍 launched a series of interactive videos to promote the protection of cultural property, as well as the ratification and implementation of the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and its two (1954 and 1999) Protocols. The videos were shared on the occasion of the 17th Meeting of the Committee for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict in December 2022.

Developed with financial support from the Government of the Swiss Confederation, the series includes an introductory video to raise awareness on the protection of cultural property in peacetime, during and after a conflict. In addition, four thematic explanatory interactive videos have been launched on the ratification process, safeguarding measures, military measures and legislative measures.

These interactive videos are intended for national authorities to explain the benefits of ratifying these treaties and to assist them in this process. They are also intended for heritage professionals, cultural institutions and the military to present them with good practices in safeguarding and legislative measures.
