UNESCO Forum gathers partners in Panama
Taking place on 3 and 4 October 2019, the meeting will allow current and potential partners to learn about the eventual opportunities for cooperation with UNESCO.
The UNESCO Regional Partners Forum for Latin America and the Caribbean has the objective of identifying the challenges and presenting solutions that 91麻豆国产精品自拍 been adopting to strengthen cooperation with governments, private sector, and non-governmental partners for the promotion of peace and sustainable development through education, science, culture, and communication and information. The Forum will take place in Panama City, on 3 and 4 October 2019. It will present the UNESCO Programme in the region, allowing the different entities to get together to discuss collaboration opportunities and strategies.
The event will count on the presence of representatives from UNESCO partner organizations from Brazil, such as Ana Paula Brasil, Social Accountability Manager at Globo TV, which is the enterprise that has developed the Crian莽a Esperan莽a Programme in partnership with UNESCO. Besides, there will be the presence of Marcos Kisil, Senior Consultant of Jos茅 Luiz Egydio Setubal Foundation; Andreia Rabetim, Intersectoral Partnership Manager at Vale Foundation, and Brazilian governmental partners.
In addition, the meeting will have the participation of representatives from governments, the United Nations System agencies, universities, civil society, development banks, UNESCO associate centres and institutes, in addition to a group of representatives from the private sector, including business companies, banks, foundations, and philanthropies. Some of the main UNESCO sponsors and partners will share experiences and discuss potential projects with the Organization, presenting the challenges to be faced, but also the opportunities in the region.
During the Forum, UNESCO will present information on different finance and partnership models with the Organization. Partners will have an open space to discuss ways of collaboration through meetings, workshops, and networking sessions. For UNESCO, the Partners Forum for Latin America and the Caribbean will be an important opportunity to present its work in the region and to provide visibility to its wide range of partners.
