UNESCO and Slovak news agency TASR join forces

UNESCO and the Slovak news agency, TASR, have signed a partnership agreement to raise the Organization鈥檚 visibility through the publication of articles about UNESCO鈥檚 work.

鈥淚 welcome the signing of this agreement which should enable the Slovak public to know more about UNESCO鈥檚 action. This is particularly opportune as UNESCO celebrates its 70th anniversary,鈥 said the Director-General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova.

鈥淭his partnership agreement provides an opportunity to showcase the actions of UNESCO in my country,鈥 said Klara Novotna, Slovakia鈥檚 Ambassador and Permanent Delegate to UNESCO. 鈥淭his is a significant contribute which should herald closer cooperation with the Organization. Slovakia is determined to make this partnership a success.鈥
