Special Committee Meeting for the Revision of the 1974 Recommendation
As part of the final phase of the revision process for the 1974 Recommendation concerning education for international understanding, co-operation and peace and education relating to human rights and fundamental freedoms, UNESCO will be convening Member States to discuss the .
The second draft was shared with Member States in April 2023.
The meeting will take place, in person, in UNESCO Headquarters, Paris, in Room II.
Member States and Associate Members of UNESCO have been requested to designate two delegates to represent their government at the meeting.
Observers to the meeting include Nongovernmental Organizations in official relations with UNESCO, Organizations of the United Nations, Intergovernmental Organizations, and other entities. For more information on the participants to the Special Committee meeting see .
