South Asia Gears Up for World Press Freedom Day Celebration in Dhaka
The South Asian region is set to commemorate World Press Freedom Day on May 2nd, 2024, with a grand celebration organized by UNESCO in collaboration with Transparency International, Bangladesh, and ARTICLE19.
The event, to be hosted in the vibrant city of Dhaka, aims to underscore the indispensable role of journalism in advocating for environmental consciousness and fostering democratic values. World Press Freedom Day provides a platform for stakeholders to converge, exchange insights, and deliberate on the pivotal role of a free and independent press in society.
