Rebuilding Scientific Ecosystem in Ukraine
The war in Ukraine has caused widespread damage to scientific infrastructure, disrupting research activities, displacing scientists and hampering scientific progress. Rebuilding this infrastructure will be crucial for the future development of the country and, more broadly, the advancement of scientific knowledge.
In light of this, UNESCO is organizing a symposium on the theme of rebuilding scientific infrastructure in Ukraine. The symposium will draw upon the findings of the assessment report which will be released by UNESCO and the Junior Academy of Sciences in Ukraine on this occasion. At UNESCO’s headquarters (Paris, France), scientists from Ukraine and beyond will discuss the study's findings with the Organization’s Member States and consider the next steps in UNESCO's support for Ukraine.
