Provision of Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Jordanian and Syrian Youth

In support of the Government of Jordan’s Response Plan for the Syria Crisis, the UNESCO Amman office, with generous funding from the Government of Korea, is implementing the project, “Provision of Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Jordanian and Syrian Youth”.
The project, implemented in partnership with Al Quds College in Jordan, will support youth to earn a Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) Level 2 Diploma at the training facilities in Amman and Irbid. The programme of study spans seven months with one month of on-the-job training scheduled at the end. Additionally, students will also take English language training, the Passport to Success programme and benefit from on-site guidance and counseling services. At the end of the programme, students are supported through their transition into the labour market or continuation of their education and training.
