Now in Serbian –Toolkit for European judiciary and law enforcement

The Toolkit for European judiciary and law enforcement authorities in the Fight against illicit trafficking of cultural property is now available in , thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Serbia. This unique publication was developed as a self-training tool to strengthen the capacities and knowledge of judiciary and law enforcement professionals by providing practical exercises and relevant legal references. Along with UNESCO, its author, , stresses the importance of collaboration between the police and judicial authorities as well as the political will of governments to take the necessary steps to combat the illicit trafficking of cultural property.
First published in November 2018, the Toolkit is one of the outcomes of a , and is also available in , , . It will soon be available in Arabic.
The Serbian version of the Toolkit will serve, among others, as training material within the framework of the Serbian “Capacity-building project for fighting illicit import, export and transfer of ownership of cultural property at the local level”, which is supported by the and aims to develop the capacity of local authorities, judicial, police and customs representatives to establish a unified procedure to fight illicit trafficking of cultural property at the national level.
