Meeting with the Grand Egyptian Museum Management
Dr. Eltayeb Abbas, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Archaeological Affairs at the Grand Egyptian Museum, welcomed the UNESCO Cairo OIC Dr. Nuria Sanz and expressed his interest in collaborating on various projects related to museums and cultural heritage preservation among others.
The representatives agreed to join forces to organize an international conference in the framework of Mondiacult declaration.
GEM Director, expressed his willingness to share knowledge and expertise with other museums in the region. Finally, the representatives argued on the importance of providing visitors of the museum with information of the reasons why UNESCO inscribed this World Heritage site: Memphis and its Necropolis – the Pyramid Fields from Giza to Dahshur.
