Launch of an online interactive map illustrating media development actors in Yemen

To enhance dialogue between actors working in media development in Yemen, in January 2021, UNESCO and RNW Media conducted a research to identify and  map organizations working in the media development arena across the country.
This research is now illustrated in an online interactive map referencing more than 25 institutions operating in the different region of Yemen. The interactive digital map is accessible here.
To ensure sustainability the interactive digital map is hosted on the Manasati30 platform. The map will evolve and be regularly updated based upon voluntary participation of institutions. If your organization work in the field of media development in Yemen and would like to be added to the map, please send your details to info@manasati30.com
This initiative is supported by the Multi-Donor Programme for Freedom of Expression and Safety of Journalists (MDP).

About the Multi-Donor Programme for Freedom of Expression and Safety of Journalists (MDP)

The MDP serves to further strenghten UNESCO's work at a global, regional, and national levels, by channeling funds towards emerging priorities and the most pressing needs to achieve its mandate on freedom of expression. It enables UNESCO's Communication and Information Sector to address complex issues through the design and implementation of holistic medium and long-term interventions at national, regional and global levels. The clear advantage of this mechanism is that it allows UNESCO and its partners to achieve greater impact and sustainability, whilst reducing fragmentation of activities in the same field.
