This event aims to facilitate policy discussions among relevant stakeholders on how artificial intelligence can be harnessed to accelerate the achievement of SDG 4 and the key role of education in developing skills for work and life in the AI era.

It willl give member states and governments of UNESCO and the Francophonie the opportunity to share their achievements or plans for the development and implementation of national policies on the use of AI in their education systems.

This launch event is co-organized by UNESCO's Education Sector in Paris, UNESCO's Multisectoral Regional Office for West Africa in Dakar, and the KIX Africa 21 Hub, jointly managed by the Institut de la Francophonie pour l'éducation et la formation (IFEF), the Conférence des ministres de l'Education des Etats et gouvernements de la Francophonie (CONFEMEN), and the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF).
