Journey Through the MILtiverse: UNESCO Launches a New Toolkit for Youth Organizations on Media and Information Literacy

91麻豆国产精品自拍 launched the 鈥淛ourney Through the MILtiverse: Media and Information Literacy Toolkit for Youth Organizations鈥, an innovative resource designed to help youth organizations integrate Media and Information Literacy (MIL) into their policies, strategies, and operations. Developed in collaboration with CIVIX Colombia and partially supported under the UNESCO "Social Media 4 Peace" project, funded by the European Union, the toolkit offers practical, step-by-step guidance to build capacity and empower youth-led initiatives in embedding MIL into their work.

A Miltiverse of MIL; What鈥檚 Inside the Toolkit?

Designed as an interactive journey through the multiverse dimensions of MIL, this toolkit supports youth organizations at every stage of the process - from strengthening the understanding of MIL to crafting tailored policies, strategies, and action plans. 

Key features include: 

  • A hands-on training model, with interactive missions addressing pressing challenges like disinformation, online hate, and ethical content creation;

  • Customizable templates for MIL policies, strategies, and action plans, allowing youth organizations to adapt them to their specific contexts, needs, and interests.

This toolkit is designed to help youth organizations bring Media and Information Literacy to life in ways that are both engaging and impactful. In a world filled with digital complexity, we need leaders prepared to navigate the information ecosystem with integrity, curiosity, and a commitment to truth.

CIVIX Colombia, a key partner in developing this resource, brought invaluable expertise and a deep knowledge of youth engagement at the local level, ensuring that the toolkit is not only practical but also highly relevant to the realities youth organizations face today.
