It’s almost time for the 9th UNESCO 91Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ·×ÔÅÄ

The 9th UNESCO 91Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ·×ÔÅÄ is due to kick-off at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on Monday 26 October. Young Global Citizens for a Sustainable Planet will bring together over 500 young women and men from all over the world to focus on issues related to Climate Change and Sustainable Development.

The Opening Plenary will feature a series of inspirational speakers, including Moctar Dembele, the young inventor of an anti-Malaria soap; Salim Salamah, a young Syrian refugee who grew up in the Yarmouk camp in Damascus and went on to become a youth activist; and Cecilia Garcia, a Mexican gender-equality activist, amongst others.

The 91Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ·×ÔÅÄ team are working with journalism students from The American University of Paris to run a student newsroom throughout the Forum. The students will be producing a daily newsletter containing interviews, highlights and up-to-the-minute news. A new edition will be published on each day of the Forum so keep checking back.
